- If your hand totals 11 or less, draw another card.
- If your hand totals between 12 and 16, and the dealer's visible card is 7 or higher, hit, unless doubling down is appropriate.
- If your hand totals between 12 and 16, and the dealer has 4 through 6, stand.
- If your hand has hard totals of 10, 11, and 9, and the dealer shows 4 through 6, consider doubling down.
- Stand on all hard totals of 17, regardless of the online blackjack dealer's starting card.

- Split 8s & Aces every time you play blackjack online.
- Split 2s & 3s when the face-up card of the dealer is 4 to 7.
- Split 4s only if the face-up card of the dealer is a 5 or a 6.
- Split 6s when the face-up card of the dealer is 3 to 6.
- Split 7s when the face-up card of the dealer is 2 to 7.
- Split 9s if the dealer’s face-up card is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, or 9, but not 7.
- Avoid splitting 5s – rather double down on a total of 10.
- Never split 10s – they could easily turn into a strong hand totalling 20.
- Avoid splitting 4s if the dealer's face-up card is not a 5 or a 6.
- Avoid splitting 9s if the dealer's face-up card is a 7.
Other Quick Tips
- If you have 16 and the dealer shows a 10, consider surrendering.
- If you’re not allowed to double down, choose to hit, except for standing on a soft 18.
- Avoid insurance in online blackjack; it might pay 2 to 1 if the dealer has blackjack, but it's a loss if they don't.
